How To Cover Dark Circles

Recently I've seen this "trick" all over the internet and to be honest I totally doubted it would work, applying red lipstick under your eyes feels and looks completely ridiculous, so I wasn't sure about trying it, but I did.

As you can see I don't have really bad dark circles, at least in my opinion they are fine, but it did worked and the red lipstick did brightened my under eye area. The trick is using really tiny amounts of the product, and blending it really well so you don't end up looking like you came out of a horror movie. Then, when applying your foundation or concealer (it depends on the order that you prefer) over it, use also tiny amounts and soft movements so you don't smudge the red all over your face.

I would recommend using a yellow concealer, so you balance the pink tone of the area, and leave it looking perfectly like skin.

These are the products that I used for the rest of my makeup.
1. Mary Kay - Yellow/Jaune - Concealer
2. Renew - Avon - Line Smoothing Duo - Foundation and Powder Medium
3. Quem disse Berenice? - Matte Liquid Foundation 5E
4. Anaconda - Blush Desejo
5. Bourjois - Blush - 15 Rose Éclat
6. Colortend - Avon - Strawberry Red Lipstick
7. Maybelline - One by One Mascara

Today should have been a stay at home day, because I am sick and feeling really poorly, but I had to buy some things in the center (of Banfield) so I decided doing this really natural makeup to make me feel and look better. So there you have a daily "no makeup" makeup ^-^

Coconut Oil

The Coconut oil is not just a new cosmetic trend, this product has been used for ages all over the world. And now I am in love with it. The incredible properties and all the different uses that it has, just makes my beauty routine healthier and more natural in such an easy way.

Here there are some of the uses for this amazing product:

As it is an oil it improves the frizzy hair appearance, it gives a lot of shine to the hair and kind of "sticks" the the tips together, being an amazing instant solution for split ends. But it also means that you have to apply a really small amount of it in the very tips of the hair, in order to avoid a greasy look.

With your hair wet apply it to the middle and tips, avoiding the roots, cover it with a shower or heating cap (if you don't have one you can use a towel) and leave it for more than 30 minutes. It will leave your hair incredibly soft and shinny.

Oil Pulling is another beauty trend, it makes your teeth and gums more healthy and can even whiten your teeth naturally. Though if you don't like the pulling "experience" you can also start brushing your teeth with the coconut oil instead of the regular teeth paste, it will increase your mouth health and even help if you have sensitivity. If you add baking soda to it you will have an even more whitening effect, but please remember that the baking soda can be too abrasive and should not be used in a daily basis.

If you ran out of shaving cream, or prefer a organic option, the coconut oil will do the job perfectly, and will leave your skin with a very soft and silky touch.

In your lips the coconut oil can do wonders, it will improve your lips texture and leave a healthy natural glow, if you apply a little more it will give you a shiny gloss effect.

If you mix it with equal parts of sugar you will have an amazing smoothing body scrub. It is very important to exfoliate your skin and the sugar will do that job, wile the oil gives it the perfect texture and acts like a skin moisturizer at the same time.

The coconut is frequently recommended as a natural anti-aging moisturizer. It also can help recovering the skin from sunburns, and is has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties that can help resolve acne without drying your skin. I personally like adding some drops if it in my moisturizer and basically any other product that I use in my skin, it simply boosts the effect wonderfully.

As I mentioned previously coconut oil has anti-bacterial properties and that makes of it a perfect natural deodorant by its own, or you can also use it as an ingredient for making your own deodorant, the nice thing of it is that it can help you to avoid all the chemicals, and doesn't stain clothes.
(A nice deodorant recipe is this one that I am dyeing to test myself: http://wellnessmama.com/1523/natural-deodorant/ )

So, the coconut oil is a great life saver if you ran out of most of your beauty products, it can be used as a chapstick, moisturizer for body and face, makeup remover, tooth paste, body scrub, and it goes on and on...With all this uses the coconut oil is kind of my "fave" product lately, I've been using it for everything basically, I just can say that I am obsessed with it.
I hope you enjoyed the post. And feel free to express yourself in the comments or contact me with any doubt, suggestion or opinion.

"Where are you taking me?..."

"Where are you taking me?

I can’t be blamed

I want you to want me again

Is it desire

Or is it love that I’m feelin’ for you?

I want desire

Because your love only gets me abused"

This week I was thinking about what Nail Art do for today's post, and remembered mentioning Lydia Connell's, so I decided to keep the theme and use pastel colors, though spicing it up with some French tips.
I loved the results, it's bright, easy and fun, special for the start of spring, or the end of the summer (here in Argentina). For making the french tips I recommend using those adhesive stripes, or a very thin brush. Though the stripes are really easy, I tend to use the brush, and sometimes even the one that comes with the Nail Polish, just because I am too lazy.

The Nail Polishes that I used:
♥ Impala - Cajá Manga - (Yellow)
♥ Impala - Záz - (Purple)
♥ Colorama - Compartilha - (Blue)
♥ Impala - Buquê - (Pink)
♥ Thelma & Louise - No Name. (Turquoise)

"Desire" - Years & Years

Anew - Lip Conditioner

This is a Lip Balm by Anew Avon, I couldn't find it in the USA Avon magazine, I don't know if it's available there, but it certainly is in Argentina and Brasil. I love this product, my mom used to have it and I always borrowed it, and now, after a long time without it -because I totally forgot how much I loved it- we are reunited. My mom, very kindly, bought one for me as a present when I came back from my vacations.

The reason why I love it so much is how moisturizing it is for your lips. It actually makes them feel and look incredibly soft and even fuller. Now, let's talk about the package, back in the days when I used to have it, it didn't looked like that, now it's all gold and shiny, super pretty and glamorous, and I am in looove!

It is SPF 15, and highly conditioning, leaving an instant moisturized feeling, and if you use it regularly it can improve your lips texture, promising a fuller lips effect. The only negative aspect that someone can find in this product is his very pale tonality, but It doesn't bother me, as It's so light and translucent that in fact it ends up giving an very luminous aspect to your lips.

Avon - Anew - Lápiz Labial Acondicionador - $ 170,00 (pesos)

*Super Approved Product * - Used as primer, and as a treatment.

"And I see colors in a different way..."

"And I see colors in a different way

You make what doesn't matter fade to gray

Life is good, and that's the way it should be"

Continuing with my obsession for candy colors I chose for this Nail Post of the week the "Compartilha!" nail polish from Colorama. I can't describe how much I love this color, it's a light blue, very pale and delicated, with a very subtle shimmer.

Watching one of the Velvetgh0st's vlogs I noticed how Lydia Connell had each one of her nails painted with a different color, but all with the same pale tonality. I loved it, it's definitely an amazing way of using all the candy nail polishes that I posted recently, it's fun and completely adorable.

Dermotivin - Cleansing Foam

When I was in vacations I forgot to take with me my regular facial cleansing product (Gel de Limpieza - Dermaglós) - "Oops!" - so I decided to try out a new one, and in the drugstore I was recommended this Dermotivin Cleansing Foam for approximately R$70,00.

The product is described as special for mixed or oily skin - as it is supposed to reduced oiliness and maintain the natural balance of the skin - it's recommended by dermatologists, and formulated with natural extracts of marigold (calêndula) and aloe vera. In my opinion it is pretty much accurate.

The product is incredibly efficient, i loved it, it lasts a lot - I've been using it for more than a moth -, the smell is weird but not bad, the only negative thing about this product is that I don't know where to find it here in Argentina.

What makes it so perfect for me is that it comes out as a foam and that makes all my daily routine so much easier, and quicker, completely laziness proof. Specially when I am sleepy at night or don't have time at all.

"The only heaven I'll be sent to..."

"The only heaven I'll be sent to

Is when I'm alone with you

I was born sick, but I love it

Command me to be well

Amen, amen, amen"

I have been looking for this Nail Polish for a while now, and finally found it!  I really don't know the brand's name, though I would love to, so I could actually find more of it. I saw it in WeHeartIt, it was love at first sight and that's how the haunt started.

I bought it for $12 pesos (when I was walking around randomly with some friends) in a "Barrio Chino's" shop. I was so happy, because it's incredibly pretty! I loved the color, the package, everything! So, even thought it is "too cheap to be true" I decided to try it to see the results, I didn't disliked the formula and the color is wonderful...

But surprisingly it has a 'plus' feature, it is scented, yep, it's one of that nail polishes with  tasty smells, though (in my opinion) it is not tasty at all. I find this smell completely disgusting. It is supposed to be a chocolate scent (stupidly I thought that it was the color's name), and that's the problem.

I don't have anything against the smell in products, but chocolate is a very particular one, and it can easily be too sweet and make me feel kind of sick, I don't see myself using it again, I just can't stand it.

To be fair, I have to say that my sister didn't felt bothered at all by the smell, she thought that it was fine and pretty much like chocolate. I disagree completely with that, but as i said, it's a taste matter.

So the nail polish isn't a bad purchase at all, it's cheap, looks nice on the nails, and even more on my bedside table. I want to buy other colors, to find out if all of them are just a big NO, or if it's just this one scent that didn't worked for me.

If someone knows the name of the brand, please share your knowledge in the comments, I would be eternally grateful. And, by the way, you can also add your opinion about the Nail polish and the post ;)
